Sunday Worship at MBC!
Sunday School classes are available for all ages starting at 9:30 AM. We would love to have you join us!
At 10:30 AM, Pastor Joe will use Philippians 12: 1 - 4 for the text of his message which is titled
“How Does the Gospel Motivate Partnership Instead of Fighting?”.
Sunday evening our Worship Service begins at 6:00 PM. This week we will offer a special prayer for the Winchester Kiwanis Food Pantry then continue our study of 1 Peter.

Operation Christmas Child
We have less than a month to prepare our Operation Christmas Child boxes. If you would like to make a cash donation so we can buy items to put in the boxes, you may mark checks, payable to Manchester Baptist, with OCC or give your donation to Harriett or Andrea.
You may also shop for items and bring them in or pick up a box to fill yourself. We and the children appreciate your help!

The men who signed up for the fish fry in Carrollton are to meet at the church at 5:15 PM on Saturday evening September 24 so we can carpool.
It is time to start packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We will throw a Christmas party to pack boxes downstairs in the Children’s Department during the Sunday School hour on November 6. Boxes are available if you want to pack your own box. Shipping for each box is $10.00. If you would rather donate items or cash, you may do that at any time. The bulletin insert gives some ideas of items to include in the boxes.

Our New Sunday Morning Series!
“Life has ups and downs, joys and sorrow, hurry up and waiting, danger and peace, ordinary and extraordinary. This fall, we're going to hear what God has to say to us in the letter to the Philippians. Philippians isn't about one problem or issue. It's a letter to a beloved group of Christians, for a family. Like a letter to a loved one, it's got a little of everything. Something for every day.”
This Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:30 AM will be based on Philippians 1: 1 - 2. The title of Pastor Joe’s message is “What Transforms God’s People?”
Remember, A preschool class is available for children, ages one through four, during the worship service.
Sunday evening at 6:00 PM we will pray for our community and then continue our study of 1 Peter.

Several of our men are excited to attend the Christian Men’s Fish Fry to be held at the Carrollton Baptist Church on September 24 at 6:00 PM. If you haven’t signed up, contact us right away to reserve your spot.
For his last message in the “Summer in the Psalms” series, Pastor Joe’s message is titled “What Is Practical about God’s Glory?” The Sermon Text is Psalms 19: 1 - 6.
There will be no Sunday Evening Service this week.

Hope to see you this Sunday at 10:30 AM when Pastor Joe’s message will be based on Psalms 18: 35 - 45 and is titled “How Can I Build Trust in God?”. The message will be available on YouTube and Facebook on Monday morning and also as a podcast.
Sunday evening we will pray for the following missionaries we support: the Cooley’s, Living Alternatives (Pregnancy Resource Center), Wes Tabor and the Peterson’s. We will then continue our study of 1 Peter.
Monday afternoon at 2:15 we will pass out gift bags to the children as they get off the school bus. Anyone who wants to help is welcome.

Sunday morning’s message, based on Psalms 18: 3 - 19 is titled “What Fuels Worship?”. Join us at 10:30 AM and again at 6:00 PM when we have a variety of presentations about how God Provided for our Stories and Songs service.
Introducing Rooted Community Church, a new church plant in Lebanon IL. Jacob and Mackenzie Goble have answered the call of God to start a church in this location and our church has felt the call to help them with quarterly support. Please pray for their ministry.

Sunday morning we have Sunday School for all ages! The children are currently enjoying a special Summer format with songs, games and crafts along with their Bible Lesson. Sunday School starts at 9:30 AM.
At 10:30 AM Pastor Joe will speak on “How Do We Look Back on the Ups and Downs of Life?” based on Psalm 18: 1 - 2.
At 6:00 PM we will learn a little about mission outreach in Brazil and then continue our study of 1 Peter.
Wednesday at 6:30 PM we are currently working our way through the book of 1 Samuel.
July 31 is a Fifth Sunday so we will be enjoying “Stories and Songs” in leu of our normal evening service. Our theme this time is “God Provided”. We will start at 6 PM.

Wednesday, July 6 will be our last session of Summer Kids Club for this year! We are sad to see it end and hope the kids had as much fun and learned as much as we did.
Wednesday, July 6 at 6:30 will be a potluck fellowship supper followed at 7:30 by our Quarterly Business Meeting. We have some important business to discuss so please come and take part in the business of your church.
An evening of fun and fellowship, open to all ladies, begins at 6:30 PM with a provided light supper. Come join us on Thursday, July 7 and bring a friend!

At 9:30 AM each week we have Sunday School for all ages. Currently the kids (and teachers) are enjoying a break from their usual routine with classes that are a little more casual. The Lydia Class for Ladies will be starting a study of the Book of James within a week or so. Check it out!
Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, Pastor Joe’s message will be based on Psalms 16 and is titled “How Should We Pray When We Are Afraid?”
At 6:00 PM our evening Mission Focus will be on Indonesia. We will then continue the study of 1 Peter.

We made it through the heat for Summer Kids Club this week and will play it by ear for next week to determine if it is held inside or in the park. Always know that safety is a prime motivator when teaching your children.
Sunday morning we will continue “Summer in the Psalms” with a message titled “Who is welcome with God?” based on Psalms 15. We hope you will join us at 9:30 for Sunday School and 10:30 for the Morning Worship Service.
Happy Father’s Day! We will have no service in the evening so you may spend more time with your family.
Summer Kids Club This Week
It's going to be hot on Wednesday!
We will move our Summer Kids Club inside the church to protect our kids and volunteers this week.
We're going to have ice water available and will keep a close watch to make sure kids have a good time without getting overheated.

This summer we return to the Psalms together. The Psalms are unlike much of the rest of the Bible. It's not stories to learn from, statements to believe, or lessons to apply. The Psalms invite us to sing, to bring our hopes and griefs, and get caught up in what God is doing. Join us.
This week’s message is based on Psalms 13 and is titled “How to Pray When We’ve Lost Our Way?” Morning Worship starts at 10:30 AM. We would love to have you join us.
Sunday evening we meet at 6:00 PM and are currently studying the book of 1 Peter. There will be a short Missionary Focus also.
Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to join us in the Manchester Village Park for Games, Songs, Bible Stories, and Crafts! Each Wednesday through July 6.
