The wise men knew that a king was coming. The people knew a king was coming. King Herod knew a king was coming. How did they know? What would the king be like? This Christmas, we are going to look at what God said Christ would be and do. We will see what difference it makes to us that Jesus is king at Christmas. Come with us as we join the wise men seeking the king.
This week we start at the beginning with Pastor Joe’s message titled “Are You Waiting on God this Christmas?”. The sermon text is Genesis 49: 8 - 12. Come join us at 10:30 Sunday morning or watch on YouTube on Monday or later.
The first three of the special Christmas activities are as follows:
Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 PM Ladies Night Out, White Elephant Gift Exchange. Bring a favorite dessert or snack to share.
Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30PM Winchester Christmas Parade Line Up at 5:30 at Daws. Bring a lawn chair and ride on the float.
Thursday, December 12 from 6 – 8 PM You are invited to Cocoa and Carols at the parsonage.
This month’s Missionary Spotlight Four Corners Home for Children, located in Farmington, New Mexico provides both short-and long-term housing for children in need. They also provide housing and support for a limited number of mothers with children. They provide needed items to the surrounding Navajo communities and work with native ministers. We have supported them for many years. Luke 9:48 Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf, welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”
